Brand new MacBook Pro from East Ventures Alpha
I am in East Ventures Alpha office right now, taking a break from my programming stuff.
Some of you may already know what is East Ventures Alpha, but some won’t have any idea what it is. It’s an 100 days incubator program from East Ventures.
Assuming the information is not confidential, here some of the FAQs.
- Why are you in East Ventures Alpha program?
- I’m all about technical and programming side of a startup so I have little to none about how to build a startup from the business perspective. I have met and knew great developers around Indonesia but I have almost zero access to investors. So I’m here to steal that knowledge.
- I have heard about East Ventures, but never heard about East Ventures Alpha. Are they the same?
- Short answer : Yes and No.
East Ventures invests in startups, while East Ventures Alpha invests in idea. - What do you think about East Ventures Alpha program?
- We’re the first batch of East Ventures Alpa program, the X-Men First Class. Some area still need improvement (such as version control server will be great), but most of them are super awesome. I met great people, investors and learn a few tricks from CEO around the world (still waiting for the next mentoring session)
- What do you get when joining East Ventures Alpha?
- 100 days dealine, Demo D (pitching to investors), office with WIFI connection, access to any gadgets (Blackberry, Iphone, Ipad, Android), board for brainstorming, unlimited water supply.
- Do they take your soul or your first born child for that?
- Hahaha, nope. They just get small cut from our startup ownership.
- Can I join East Ventures Alpha?
- Sure, you just need to come up with great partner and great idea.
East Ventures Alpha will opening the next batch in early 2012. - Wait, I need a partner to join East Ventures Alpha?
